About

CK NOSUN

ck nosun is a self-taught emerging artist based in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, QC.

Black and white photo of person standing, one hand on hip, the other on a desk, looking down toward the floor. Desk covered with plants, books, and art supplies.

In 2020, ck nosun began creating digital illustrations of #shutdowncanada demonstrations occurring in and around Kingston, Ontario. These early pieces were created to amplify the Wet’suwet’en nation’s defense of their traditional territory, and to inspire more people to get involved in solidarity actions. They now work primarily in linocutting.

As an anarchist, ck nosun makes art that celebrates and highlights grassroots struggles for anti-authoritarian, anti-colonial, and anti-capitalist futures. Through their work, they aim to communicate the power of collective action.
